創辦人 Michael Dell 針對私有化一事罕見地對客戶發了封公開信。

台北時間 2 月 5 日，Michael Dell 宣布以 244 億將全球第三大的 PC 製造商 Dell 私有化，而Microsoft 為確保不影響整體 PC 生態，因此出資 20 億美元資助 Michael Dell。

稍早之前，Michael Dell 針對私有化一事，對所有客戶發了一封公開信，信件內容主要是在講述 Dell 私有化一事對該公司的未來是相當有幫助，同時這也有助於提升 Dell 的競爭力以及對市場的反應。

信中強調這筆交易對於該公司以及所有客戶而言，將會是全新的一個局面。

另一方面，Michael Dell 對於自己能夠繼續擔任主席以及執行長感到相當榮幸，並且深信在客戶、員工長久以來的合作，今天所做的事情，將會一個相當正確的決定。
